ORDINARY TO EXTRA-ORDINARY- i wrote this when i was 10!

Once there was a girl who loved to sing. Her name was Simi. Simi loved all types of songs but most of all she loved the songs sung by her favorite star Fiona Montez. Fiona Montez sung English songs. Simi day dreamed about her being a big star on stage and she really wanted to meet Fiona Montez; but her mom hated the American culture and therefore refused to take Simi there. Simi was eagerly waiting for the day when Fiona Montez would come to India and perform.
Simi had an elder sister Simran. She was in the 12th grade. She was 6 years elder than Simi and was preparing for her boards. Simi used to continuously imitate Fiona Montez and Simran would get disturbed but being a responsible elder sister she went to another room and studied peacefully. After Simran had finished with her boards she planned to go to America for her further studies accompanied by her father. Simi was glad at hearing this.
3 years later
When Simi was in the 9th standard, then her mom decided to go to America for her summer holidays. They stayed with Simran and their dad. Simi was really excited to meet her star but her mom just refused to budge. Simran’s birthday was on the 25th of May so she took Simi to the Disneyland for some fun time. Simi was really excited as she knew that she was going to meet her favorite star FIONA MONTEZ .So she dressed up well and went with her sister. In Disneyland there was a cruise where the movies made by Walt Disney were shown. She bought loads of books and magazines about Fiona Montez.
They watched a movie and were getting ready to leave. But while leaving the cruise Simi saw Fiona Montez. Everybody was surrounding her but Simi waited patiently. Seeing Simi’s patience Fiona stepped forward and told everyone to leave her alone. She gave Simi an autographed picture-poster and gave Simi, her address. Simi and Fiona started to talk and Simi found many things common in each other. Later Simi realized how ordinary Fiona Montez was and thought that if she worked hard she could be like her too. She was inspired by Fiona Montez but she became Simi – the great teen pop star in the whole of India. She was also a great pen friend of Fiona Montez and would meet her during the summer vacations every year.
MORAL – When you admire someone’s talent make sure that you get inspired by it ,rather than just praising it.
